Colorado Symphony Orchestra
Conducted by Colorado Symphony director Brett Mitchell, Strauss a Hero's Life includes a performance of 'Ein Heldenleben,' a 1898 autobiographical work by German composer Richard Strauss. Audiences will also be treated to beautiful renditions of French composer Maurice Ravel's best-known work 'Bolro' from 1928 and Christopher Theofanidis' 2019 work 'Drum Circles.'
During his time as a famed component of the classical music scene, Strauss was the principle conductor of the Berlin Court Opera and music director of the Berlin Philharmonic. Ein Heldenleben was one of his most praised works.
