Colorado Ballet: Ballet Masterworks

A passionate piece full of desire
Why see Colorado Ballet: Ballet Masterworks?
carmina burana
Two master ballets will form this mixed repertory over the course of a week's engagement. The three works include George Balanchine's ethereal Serenade and a rare performance of Fernand Nault's Carmina Burana set to Carl Orff's evocative and powerful score. Danced by the full company and accompanied with live music by Colorado Ballet Orchestra, this is an excellent way to sample three ballets in one exciting evening!
In this epic tale of morality, a group of Seminarian's are lured away from their religious studies in the pursuit of cardinal desires, luscious food and the demon drink. Set to one of the most famous pieces of music in the world the Colorado Ballet performs the work for the first time in 20 years.
