Prepare to be whisked away to a world of magic and wonder with the Colorado Ballet as they stage this treasured classic of the repertoire, complete with Ballet Master Marius Petipa's captivating choreography and Tchaikovsky's unforgettable score alongside glittering sets and costumes.
Excellently showcasing the talents of the company, Sleeping Beauty is a quintessential fairytale following the fortunes of Princess Aurora. Cursed by Carabosse - The Bad Fairy at her christening, it looks as if she is destined to die at 16 after pricking her finger on a spindle. But thanks to a protective spell from the Lilac Fairy, her curse is commuted to 100 years of sleep, only to be woken by true love's kiss.
