Why See Opera Colorado - Falstaff?
Eat, drink, Scheme, Repeat.
How fitting that Verdi's final opera closes Opera Colorado's celebratory season! Based on Shakespeare's Henry IV and The Merry Wives of Windsor, this screwball comedy follows the fortunes of the 'fat knight' Sir John Falstaff and his facial schemes to seduce women and gain access to his true love - money!
He might think he's being crafty, but it doesn't take long for his plans to unravel, with his intended targets - the merry wives of Windsor - banding together to come up with a nefarious revenge plot of their own. With the classic range of disguise, silliness, and hilarious uproar, don't miss what is sure to be fabulous end to the year.
Opening night: 5 May 2018
