Celebrate Independence Day With the Colorado Symphony
Celebrate the most patriotic day of the year in the company of loved ones and little ones at the Colorado Symphony's annual Family Friendly Fourth of July Concert. Commemorating the historic date in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence from the British Empire was signed, resident associate conductor Christopher Dragon will lead the ensemble through a program of soul-stirring traditional anthems, jazz classics and modern movie scores, with guest vocals from Broadway star Carpathia Jenkins.
As with any good Independence Day jamboree, the evening kicks things off with the majestic Star Spangled Banner, John Williams' soaring Liberty Fanfare and Satchmo, a tribute to jazz legend Louis Armstrong that begins with a rousing arrangement of When The Saints Go Marching In. Other highlights from the bill include God Bless America, The Armed Forces Salute, Ride Of The Valkyries and Fanfare for the Common Man. Don you stars and stripes, and prepare to swell with pride!
