REO WAS AMAZING! CHICAGO WHAT WERE YOU THINKING

REO was as awesome as always! I have never saw a bad performance from them. They carry so much energy and love for their fans on the stage. Chicago I was so disappointed in you. Why didn't you play all you hits everyone remembers? Did you notice the crowd sitting down not jumping up and down except for a few songs. if you are a fan from the 80's leave after REO plays. REO you get 5 STARS.

Show kept getting delayed due to rain. This cut both bands’ sets shorter, which was unfortunate for REO since they were fantastic and only played about 8 songs. It thankfully cut the full Chicago II album, thought the band played many of its songs, which made their set drag until they did the hits

REO UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A "NOSTALGIA ACT"

As reflected in most of the reviews here, REO Speedwagon gave the crowd what they wanted, which was a tight, high-energy rendition of their best-known songs. Unlike Chicago, REO benefited by still having the frontman from their '80s peak, if not their (sadly departed) lead guitarist. Kevin Cronin is spry at 66, still leaning into the songs and roaming the stage much as he must have done 35 years ago. Chicago appears to have only two of its original members, 70ish horn players James Pankow and Lee Loughnane. The lead vocalists most fans identify with Chicago, tenors Peter Cetera and soundalike late '80s replacement Jason Scheff have long departed, and the remaining members don't seem to have seen fit to replace them.Perhaps their decision to play an entire album, in sequence, deep cuts included, dating from before the time Cetera assumed lead vocals , is connected to their lack of a distinctive lead vocalist. The audience only recognized one song, the opening "Make Me Smile".

REO ROCKED IT!!! CHICAGO WAS A DISAPPOINTING MESS

REO was amazing!. The crowd was on their feet throughout the entire time they played. Watching them play looked like they enjoyed playing and gave us a performance to remember with a great familiar set of songs, along with some less known songs that hooked some of us into them. The energy was contagious. The lead singer engaged the crowd and left us wanting more of them. Enters Chicago and the energy died. They only played songs from their Chicago 2 album and lost the audience. It was what I am calling an attemp to provide a psychedelic experience gone totally array. A kaleidoscopic mess!!!. We left the venue within 30 minutes to avoid falling asleep and so did tons of other people. In closing, REO was worth the ticket price ALONE!, Chicago played for themselves not the crowd who they disappointed who were there to support them.

REO was great- Chicago put me to sleep - and many others. Very disappointing tonight- lots of people left after 4-5 Chicago songs.

CHICAGO ARROGANCE RUINED A GOOD TIME!

I went into this show blind, expecting what these acts always had delivered in the past. REO delivered and earned 5 stars. Chicago chose to play what they wanted (70 minutes of the widely unknown Chicago 2 album) as opposed to what their fans wanted to hear (the hits). CII is a double album and is a collection of 20 plus songs devoid of billboard hits with the exception of 25 or 6 to 4, which closed the first act. At several points during the first act I stood up and surveyed the crowd.....not one person was standing. Everyone was sitting. People booed....loudly! People left.....in droves. By the time Chicago wrapped things up with 30 or 40 minutes of songs you know, over 1/3 of the crowd had departed. The fact that the sound mix was consistently off during the night didn't ruin the REO set. Chicago's set list did! REO: 5 stars. CHICAGO: 1 star because they eventually got to the point and played what people came to see!
