REO ROCKS; REFUND REQUESTED FOR SORRY CHICAGO PERFORMANCE

REO has "rooted with the changes". High energy, very tight musically and played their many hits with fun and showmanship. Vocals were great as was tribute to Tom Petty. Only disappointment with REO was the decision to tour with Chicago. Everything I said positive about REO was really bad with Chicago. Your decision to play your Chicago II album was really a mistake. Your not U2 and II was not the Joshua Tree. I could only take 45 minutes of their set before leaving. I saw Chicago 35 years ago and they were great. Now they just played like they were old. Even worse made me feel old and resentful. Bummer.

STAY FOR REO, THEN GO HOME

REO was amazing!!! 90 minutes into Chicago I heard one song I recognized. We left. Stay for REO then go home. Chicago needs to rethink their set list.

REO & CHICAGO AT ALLSTATE ARENA - JUNE 24,2018

Let me start by saying I would have given it 5 stars if not for the bad acoustics of the venue. As for the performance of REO and Chicago - they were great. Those whining about Chicago and that they played their 2nd album for the first set is just sad. If all you want is to hear a groups greatest hit, buy a CD or download them. REO even did some of their less know songs and even did a Tom Petty song. It is actually nice to hear them (all groups) do more than just the hits. If you're truly a fan you will get it........... if not.........you are not worth the time. As I began this review - the only disappointing part of the concert was the poor acoustics, the echo factor was so bad that you could not understand the vocals. We had good seats right behind the sound people, so I expected better. As long as you knew the music you could follow along. Both groups were energetic and gave a fantastic show. It was easy to see they enjoy what they do and want to give the fans a great show.

SOUND ISSUES AND SONG SELECTIONS

There was no question that REO Speedwagon did a good job with their performance. I am a big Chicago fan and I have enjoyed the past 6 years of going to see Chicago at DTE Energy Music theater. Starting with their concert when they were paired up with the Doobie Brothers, I haven't missed one of their performances and have looked forward to it every year. I'm very sad to say that this performance left me very disappointed. I went there to hear all the great songs that just pump everybody up and make for an exciting and energetic evening and was bummed. On top of this, there was a sound issue. I approached I can't tell you how many staff members at DTE and told them that the speaker's projecting the sound to the lawn area and the deck on top of the hill must have been off. The staff was very polite but nobody seemed to be able to get a message to the people at the mixing board to let them know. I will continue to see Chicago every year that they play. I just hope my message is heard.

CHICAGO WAS DISAPPOINTING

Chicago played unknown songs ( which they are promoting) for about an hour or more and I didn't really enjoy it. Then they played a few of their popular songs. So disappointing. Don't waste your money.

REO ROCKED CHICAGO...NOT SO MUCH

The energy was awesome until Chicago took the wind out of everyone's sail with that self- indulgent music that nobody knew. Not what the majority of fans came to see. Too bad. So many people walked out. I've seen them before and they were highly entertaining. I feel like it was a wasted evening.

REO KILLED IT. CHICAGO VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.....

I saw the show last night at PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ. REO Speedwagon killed it played with a lot of energy and played ALL the songs we loved from the 80's. Chicago barely played any of their hits and you could hear crickets in the crowd. Who ever is managing this tour its time to rethink the set list. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
