This is Childish Gambino, AKA multi-talented Donald Glover, AKA Troy from NBC's Community. It's well known that Glover is a contemporary polymath and Childish Gambino, his rap alias, is more than just a side project.
Hot of the release of acclaimed Billboard no. 7 sophomore album Because the Internet in 2013, Childish Gambino is playing a handful of dates across the US this Spring, to bring audiences his honest, ironic, pop and R&B infused material, showing that when he commits to a project, it comes through. With a mix of inter-textual references and influences from rap to psychedelia, this show promises to be a spectacle for fans and newbies alike.
Donald Glover first came to prominence writing for NBC's 30 Rock, before finding further recognition from YouTube as part of the sketch group Derrick Comedy. Since then he has gone tostar in Community, tour the US with his solo stand up comedy and still finds time to dedicate to Childish Gambino and collaborate with artists such as Leona Lewis and Azelia Banks.
