Chicago advertised that they would be playing their second album in it's entirety,
and in my opinion did a great job performing it!!!
Sadly many people enjoy only "hits".

CHICAGO AND REO
I thought REO was ok, but I totally loved Chicago. The thing I've always loved about them is their horns. I thought they were phenomenal. They may have not performed all their hit songs, but what they did play was great.

REO AND CHICAGO
Overall, a great concert. Not a huge REO fan but they were very good.
I am a huge Chicago fan, have been for most of their 50+ years. If you really are a true Chicago fan, you would have enjoyed the music from the second album. True, not all of them were popular hits. However, they are still great songs and great music. The music and lyrics are moving, even in today's environment, which speaks loudly for the band and their music.
My only complaint was with the sound system at the Allstate Arena. It was not good, which took away from the performances of both groups.
Val Steeves from Austin, Texas
REO GREAT AS ALWAYS
REO was great as always. Kevin was right on
with the vocals. Bruce and Dave sounded
amazing. Plus Neal and Bryan were
awesome as they always are. I've never been
disappointed with an REO concert, and I've
been to over 70.
The same can't be said for Chicago. I saw
them the last time they toured with REO
(2014) and they were amazing. But last
nights show was definitely not a good idea.
Playing the entire Chicago 2 album, what
were they thinking. Next time, give us a
heads up before we buy the tickets
(although I still would have gone to see REO).
One last observation: I've never seen a
venue shut down the general admission
lawn seating and move everybody to
reserved seating. Where were all the true
reo fans. I know you're out there. I've seen
you at other shows.
REO, come back soon. Austin loves you, we
always have and we always will.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Saw Chicago REO at The Pavillion. It
was fantastic. New musicians in
Chicago are great. particularly the
new lead singer. For those of you
who are complaining about them
playing the entire second album.
Wake up. I bought my tickets in
March and knew at the time that was
the plan. I’ve only seen Chicago about
6 times. By far the best.

REO SPEEDWAGON AND CHICAGO IN TORONTO 2018
REO played a good solid set. I will admit that I am not
a big fan. Chicago needs to be commended for going
out on a limb and playing through all of Chicago I.
That took courage. I was impressed with the
musicality of the entire group. They, even with the
replacements, continue to be polished musicians.
Loved to hear this album played in entirety. My only
regret, as always is that Terry Kath is missing. While
the replacement musicians were fantastic they just
aren't Terry. RIP. When is Peter returning? One of the
best, of many Chicago concerts, I've attended.

CHICAGO AND REO DARIEN LAKE 8/7
Was not expecting REO to step it up, was pleasantly surprised at how well they sounded and played. Chicago
well seen them last year and was slightly disappointed too many love ballads..Cetera songs, this was a story it
was by far the best Chicago concert I have seen, top form as always wish there was an oncore was my only
complaint.. but bring out those wonderful classics that never go old!! Thanks for a rockin night!
Doug from Boston, Massachusetts
CHICAGO/REO MANSFIELD MA
As a many many decades fan of CHI I got what I wanted Sunday evening. Something
from Chicago that i've never heard before in concert. The rendition of Chicago II was
great...especially Fancy Colours, In the Country, It Better End Soon, and Poem for the
People. The second part of their set were about 10 or so of the basic chestnuts
usually performed. Enjoyed all (except the power ballads) and look forward to their
2019 tour.
I find the comments interesting about being surprised / disappointed about the CHI
set-list for this concert. A brief check of their website (starting months ago) would
have shown you the plan for 2018. I bought tickets to this event not giving 2 hoots
about REO but I sat there as an adult enduring their sound and applauded
respectfully after all songs. Get a grip folks.........it's music.......and two completely
different bands/ sounds / styles.
Mark F. from Syracuse, New York
LAKEVIEW IS OUR FAVORITE.
Syracuse has a lot to be proud of with the Lakeview venue. Great place to see a concert.
Yes, it was loud. People covered their ears at times. As for the concert I'm not a huge REO
fan but I will say they came to please and the audience was thrilled. As for Chicago this
was our 7th time seeing them in 2 yrs. We go because they have a special unique sound
and are incredible musicians. Of course we love to hear their hits. Going through their
second album left the audience confused and anxious to hear what they came to hear.
Great solos by Keith the lead guitar player and their new percussion team. Felt the solo
sung by Lou Pardini was out of place in that venue but again it was part of the 2nd album.
Outside of that they were fantastic. Once bands like Chicago and EWF stop we will really
miss those horn sections. I'm sure Chicago will rethink their song list next year. The've
been giving people what they wanted for 50 yrs. Give them a break. Thank God for
Chicago!!

REO IS FANTASTIC !! CHICAGO NEEDS TO LISTEN TO THEIR FANS !!
REO was amazing last night. Brought the entire
amphitheater back to the Good Old Days. Everybody
singing along, cheering, clapping and dancing. What a
great time. Chicago although great musicians, seem
to be playing for a Las Vegas hotel. Everybody just sat
in astonishment. Most of the band members are
new, and it seems that the group is not Chicago at all
If they would play popular Chicago songs throughout
from beginning to end, and not just the second
album. The fans would not leave, and go home.
Really disappointed. With all that said, the Venue is
great. I love the outside space. Easy to maneuver,
and close to all amenities so your not away from your
seats long. Everyone is helpful, and quick to serve
you in all areas. Love going to the Mid Florida
Amphitheatre.
Greg from Raleigh, North Carolina
CHICAGO GOT THE RIGHT AUDIENCE!
Despite a stormy night with a complete shut down of
the venue at one point Chicago blew Raleigh away.
The audience instead of being put off by a little band
history lesson, actually listened to the complex early
works. They and the responding audience started to
work together to create a great concert experience.
Those guys worked theiir @sses off. I didn't know
what to expect after reading other reviews. Damn
glad I ignored them. One of top 10 shows I've been
to. That's our of nearly 100 of all types of acts.
Chicago is a sure ticket whenever they come around
again.
Sarah from Kansas City, Missouri
CHICAGO ROCKED, REO WAS LAME
I've never been a huge REO Speedwagon fan. I was at Wednesday night's concert to
see Chicago. I've seen Chicago many times and they always rock. I'm a huge fan of
the horns.
REO sounded weak and the bass was way too much. The overall sound of the band
was tired and worn out. They played all of their wimpy ballads and very few of the
songs that actually rock.
I knew going into the concert that Chicago was going to play their second album
from beginning to end. I knew that I wouldn't know many of the songs so I just had
to wait it out until midway through their set list. The wait was well worth it.
I know I'm in the minority here. Chicago rocked their songs while REO was a huge
disappointment. Chicago's show was a huge success even without Peter Cetera.
Ralph from Chicago, Illinois
REO IS THE BEST, CHICAGO HAS AN EGO PROBLEM
REO was outstanding as they always are. High energy, great sound. Played all the songs
we all grew up with and love. Chicago, not sure where the thought process was. Chicago
2, albeit a great album, is not what we were all there for. Was going to leave at
intermission, but talked the wife into staying. Second half of show was fantastic, but lots
a lot of people with the first half and playing Chicago 2.
Fatima Horner from Toronto, Ontario
REO - ROCKED IT - CHICAGO - HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
REO Speedwagon put on an awesome show. Kept you excited and in the concert mood.
I would go see them again in a heartbeat. Chicago, very disappointing. started with a 45
instructmental piece which felt like I needed to leave and go striaght to bed. They saved
all the popular songs for last wihich at that point most of the crowd had already left
because it was not interesting at all. Would not ever spend money to watch them in
concert again. Budweiser Stage was awesome, first time there and loved the stadium.
JAN KELLY from Toronto, Ontario
REO SPEEDWAGON / CHICAGO - BUDWEISER STAGE TORONTO
MY FIRST TIME SEEING REO SPEEDWAGON LIVE. THEY WERE FANTASTIC. THEY WERE FULL OF ENERGY AND TOTALLY ENGAGED THE CROWD FROM THE BEGINNING. WE HAD GREAT SEATS AND THOUGHT THAT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE AN EQUALLY GOOD TIME WHEN CHICAGO CAME ON, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
THEY STARTED OUT PLAYING A WHOLE NEW ALBUM THAT NOBODY KNEW AND EVERYONE JUST SAT THERE WONDERING WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON. WE LEFT AFTER ABOUT THE FIRST SIX SONGS THEY PLAYED AS IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE JUST HAVING ONE BIG JAM SESSION AND FORGOT THAT THEY ACTUALLY HAD AN AUDIENCE THAT HAD PAID TO HEAR THEM SING ALL THEIR HITS...VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING... THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE HINT WHEN THEY SAW SO MANY PEOPLE WALKING OUT.....
REO SPEEDWAGON SAVED THE WHOLE EVENING FOR US, THEY WERE BRILLIANT.
LAURIE from Toronto, Ontario
REO SPEEDWAGON ROCKED AND CHICAGO DIED
REO SPEEDWAGON HAD EVERYONE UP SINGING AND DANCING, THEY SHOULD HAVE
PLAYED LONGER.
THEN OUT CAME CHICAGO AND WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT FROM THE FIRST SONG TO
WHEN I LEFT ONLY 1 HOUR INTO THEIR SET. I SAT THERE THINKING "WTF". THE
AUDIENCE LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE ATTENDING A HUGE FUNERAL. TOO BAD WE CANT
GET HALF OUR MONEY BACK.
Bruce from Reading PA
ALL 3 STARS FOR REO
REO rocked it! I knew almost every song. Great energy! Great vibes! Crowd was amped!
Chicago came on. " We are playing our 2nd Record from 1970 ". What? And they did. Over an hour and I knew 3 songs. Lots of protest music. Lots of anti establishment. It was like the 60's except that its freakin' 2018!!!! People sat in their seats. People checked their phones to see what the songs would be because no one knew! People checked how much longer it would go. People checked Facebook. People got up and left. When they finally played a familiar song the people still there responded!
Clapping along, singing, dancing. Then it was another obscure rendition. Then it was a drum set ( it was great but I was there for CHICAGO hits!!! ) . Then another hit!! Then another instrumental. We left with 15 minutes left. There are 20 to 30 amazing pieces they could have played. Maybe 5 were performed. What a waste!

REO ROCKED, CHICAGO PUT ME TO SLEEP
I had been going to PNC to see CHiCAGO perform their greatest hits for the past 5
years. Never heard they were doing CHICAGO 2. I was 6 years old when CHI 2 came
out so i knew none of the songs. Great musicians but paying for good seats, Section
201 and not knowing the music, words etc literally put me to sleep. I left with my
family at 9:30. Sadness and disappointment for my Autistic daughter is what
bothered me the most. See kept saying, I don't know these songs, let's leave. Very
disappointing. REO, silly hokie love songs but guys pushing 70 still crushing it. Loved
them. May have to make sure CHICAGO goes back to the greatest hits next go
around before buying any tickets. Love you Chicago, just not last night. THUMBS
DOWN
SK from Syracuse, New York
DISAPPOINTED
REO - Loud doesn't equate to good. Chicago. By intermission you already
had a good share walk out. With all of your hits, it would have been nice to
hear one every three or four songs to keep people interested and able to
join in the fun.
Keith M from Pittsburgh
REO GREAT, CHICAGO SKIP THE FIRST HOUR
Everybody posting here can't be wrong.
Saw the tour last night in Pittsburgh. REO was full of
energy and played exactly what I wanted to hear.
Chicago, on the other hand, played an hour of
unknown drivel before they got to the good stuff. No
clue what they were thinking. You could tell the
audience was bored. This is not why we're came!
Do yourself a favor and after REO set go get a beer
and a sandwich. When you hear 25 or 6 to 4, go back
in.
Bruce from Tampa, Florida
TOO MUCH SELF INDULGENCE
Let's be fair to all here. Those of us who actually bought the music in the 70's really
come to the show to hear the hits. REO was spot on except for a song which seem to
come out of the AC/DC screaming lyrics. (Geez what was that) I saw Chicago with
EWF a few years back and the show was GREAT. Both bands in the end were on stage
doing each others hits.. Wasn't familiar with most of the Chicago 2 songs except for
2. IF you add up the songs they played it was around 27. Seemed like when it came
to the hits it was a bit rushed. I will say the new singer who replaced the other singer
who replaced Peter did a great job. If I tried to hit those notes, a hernia would have
occurred. Weather held out and all in all a slow dance with the wife during a Chicago
song isn't too bad at all.
RJ from Tampa, Florida
REO WAS AMAZING! CHICAGO WHAT WERE YOU THINKING
REO was as awesome as always! I have never saw a bad performance
from them. They carry so much energy and love for their fans on the
stage. Chicago I was so disappointed in you. Why didn't you play all
you hits everyone remembers? Did you notice the crowd sitting down
not jumping up and down except for a few songs. if you are a fan
from the 80's leave after REO plays. REO you get 5 STARS.
Dan from Raleigh, North Carolina
REO/CHICAGO RALEIGH
Show kept getting delayed due to rain. This cut
both bands’ sets shorter, which was
unfortunate for REO since they were fantastic
and only played about 8 songs. It thankfully
cut the full Chicago II album, thought the band
played many of its songs, which made their set
drag until they did the hits
Bill Lehan from Charlotte, North Carolina
REO UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A "NOSTALGIA ACT"
As reflected in most of the reviews here, REO Speedwagon gave the crowd what they
wanted, which was a tight, high-energy rendition of their best-known songs. Unlike
Chicago, REO benefited by still having the frontman from their '80s peak, if not their
(sadly departed) lead guitarist. Kevin Cronin is spry at 66, still leaning into the songs
and roaming the stage much as he must have done 35 years ago.
Chicago appears to have only two of its original members, 70ish horn players James
Pankow and Lee Loughnane. The lead vocalists most fans identify with Chicago,
tenors Peter Cetera and soundalike late '80s replacement Jason Scheff have long
departed, and the remaining members don't seem to have seen fit to replace
them.Perhaps their decision to play an entire album, in sequence, deep cuts included,
dating from before the time Cetera assumed lead vocals , is connected to their lack of
a distinctive lead vocalist. The audience only recognized one song, the opening "Make
Me Smile".
Susan from Charlotte, North Carolina
REO ROCKED IT!!! CHICAGO WAS A DISAPPOINTING MESS
REO was amazing!. The crowd was on their feet
throughout the entire time they played.
Watching them play looked like they enjoyed
playing and gave us a performance to
remember with a great familiar set of songs,
along with some less known songs that hooked
some of us into them. The energy was
contagious. The lead singer engaged the
crowd and left us wanting more of them.
Enters Chicago and the energy died. They only
played songs from their Chicago 2 album and
lost the audience. It was what I am calling an
attemp to provide a psychedelic experience
gone totally array. A kaleidoscopic mess!!!. We
left the venue within 30 minutes to avoid falling
asleep and so did tons of other people. In
closing, REO was worth the ticket price ALONE!,
Chicago played for themselves not the crowd
who they disappointed who were there to
support them.

CHICAGO ARROGANCE RUINED A GOOD TIME!
I went into this show blind, expecting what these acts always had delivered in the past. REO delivered and earned 5 stars. Chicago chose to play what they wanted (70 minutes of the widely unknown Chicago 2 album) as opposed to what their fans wanted to hear (the hits). CII is a double album and is a collection of 20 plus songs devoid of billboard hits with the exception of 25 or 6 to 4, which closed the first act. At several points during the first act I stood up and surveyed the crowd.....not one person was standing. Everyone was sitting. People booed....loudly! People left.....in droves. By the time Chicago wrapped things up with 30 or 40 minutes of songs you know, over 1/3 of the crowd had departed. The fact that the sound mix was consistently off during the night didn't ruin the REO set. Chicago's set list did! REO: 5 stars. CHICAGO: 1 star because they eventually got to the point and played what people came to see!

REO ROCKS; REFUND REQUESTED FOR SORRY CHICAGO PERFORMANCE
REO has "rooted with the changes". High energy, very tight musically
and played their many hits with fun and showmanship. Vocals were
great as was tribute to Tom Petty. Only disappointment with REO was
the decision to tour with Chicago. Everything I said positive about REO
was really bad with Chicago. Your decision to play your Chicago II
album was really a mistake. Your not U2 and II was not the Joshua
Tree. I could only take 45 minutes of their set before leaving. I saw
Chicago 35 years ago and they were great. Now they just played like
they were old. Even worse made me feel old and resentful. Bummer.
Terri from Houston, Texas
STAY FOR REO, THEN GO HOME
REO was amazing!!! 90 minutes into Chicago
I heard one song I recognized. We left. Stay
for REO then go home. Chicago needs to
rethink their set list.
JB from Chicago, Illinois
REO & CHICAGO AT ALLSTATE ARENA - JUNE 24,2018
Let me start by saying I would have given it 5 stars if not for the bad acoustics of the
venue.
As for the performance of REO and Chicago - they were great. Those whining about
Chicago and that they played their 2nd album for the first set is just sad. If all you
want is to hear a groups greatest hit, buy a CD or download them. REO even did
some of their less know songs and even did a Tom Petty song. It is actually nice to
hear them (all groups) do more than just the hits. If you're truly a fan you will get
it........... if not.........you are not worth the time.
As I began this review - the only disappointing part of the concert was the poor
acoustics, the echo factor was so bad that you could not understand the vocals. We
had good seats right behind the sound people, so I expected better. As long as you
knew the music you could follow along. Both groups were energetic and gave a
fantastic show. It was easy to see they enjoy what they do and want to give the fans
a great show.

SOUND ISSUES AND SONG SELECTIONS
There was no question that REO Speedwagon did a
good job with their performance.
I am a big Chicago fan and I have enjoyed the past 6
years of going to see Chicago at DTE Energy Music
theater. Starting with their concert when they were
paired up with the Doobie Brothers, I haven't missed
one of their performances and have looked forward
to it every year.
I'm very sad to say that this performance left me very
disappointed. I went there to hear all the great songs
that just pump everybody up and make for an
exciting and energetic evening and was bummed.
On top of this, there was a sound issue. I approached
I can't tell you how many staff members at DTE and
told them that the speaker's projecting the sound to
the lawn area and the deck on top of the hill must
have been off. The staff was very polite but nobody
seemed to be able to get a message to the people at
the mixing board to let them know.
I will continue to see Chicago every year that they
play. I just hope my message is heard.
Maria from Toronto, Ontario
CHICAGO WAS DISAPPOINTING
Chicago played unknown songs ( which they are
promoting) for about an hour or more and I didn't
really enjoy it. Then they played a few of their popular
songs. So disappointing. Don't waste your money.
Susan from Boston, Massachusetts
REO ROCKED CHICAGO...NOT SO MUCH
The energy was awesome until Chicago took
the wind out of everyone's sail with that self-
indulgent music that nobody knew. Not what
the majority of fans came to see. Too bad. So
many people walked out.
I've seen them before and they were highly
entertaining. I feel like it was a wasted
evening.
Not a Fan from Freehold New Jersey
REO KILLED IT. CHICAGO VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.....
I saw the show last night at PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ. REO Speedwagon killed it played with a lot of energy and played ALL the songs we loved from the 80's. Chicago barely played any of their hits and you could hear crickets in the crowd. Who ever is managing this tour its time to rethink the set list. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
Stephanie from Youngstown, OH
LOVED REO BUT WOULD LOVE A REFUND FOR CHICAGO!
Went to the show in Burgettstown with family was so excited.
REO sounded great and sang mostly hits but then Chicago took stage
with snooze worthy songs boring us to tears for about an hour . We
were so frustrated waiting to hear something good we left early:(

REO CHICAGO TAMPA
Went to the concert with my wife and
14 YO son, people everywhere were
complaining about Chicago and the
songs they played. They have a ton of
hits and played songs no one knew
Even my son said he noticed the
audience looked bored out of their
minds
REO should have played the entire
show and sent Chicago home

REO AND CHICAGO
I saw chicago in Charleston sc less
than a year ago and was so
impressed so we bought 12 tickets to
the reo and Chicago concert in
Charlotte and it was truly the biggest
disappointment from Chicago. REO
was well worth it but chicago sucked.
People all around us left. After an
hour we were done....heard none of
the good 70 songs.

REO/CHICAGO
Reo was great. Chicago was very very
disappointing. I loved them last year
at Verizon. I thought it was the best
concert ever. I spent a lot of money
on these tickets and received a very
different product from Chicago. They
didn’t play their main hits the first
half of the concert. The musicians are
very talented but they need a singer
that sounds like Peter Cetera which
they had last year. It is a combination
of that voice and the horns that make
it Chicago. Sorry but chicks dig that
voice. Very unhappy.!

REO-CHICAGO
REO Speedwagon still has it! They put on an amazing show and truly
they are entertainers. Very disappointed in Chicago. They made a huge
mistake by making people sit through their whole Chicago II album.
Then they tried to get the audience re-engaged but it was too late.
They had lost them. These guys should know better. People pay to
hear what THEY want to hear NOT what they want to PLAY. So sad.
Took really good memories and skewed them. Will not make that
mistake again. REO WAS WORTH THE TICKET PRICE. Thank you Kevin
Cronin and the band!
Herman Smith from Houston, Texas
CAME FOR CHICAGO, WISH I WOULD HAVE COME FOR REO
I saw Chicago & the Doobie Brothers last year and it was a fantastic show. But this
show was horrible, except for REO Speedwagon. I'm not a big fan of REO, but a huge
fan of Chicago. After seeing this show I've since changed my tune. Speedwagon gave
a great performance of their classics. Chicago played the entire Chicago ii album
which has some classics, but the entire album? Are you kidding? Do you know how
long that playlist is and how lackluster most of those songs are? And it seemed kind
of arrogant...like we're playing this album whether you like it or not. Half the
audience left midway through like other venues have reported. I can't imagine the
band not noticing that. The band is losing fans doing this. I know I probably will not
come to another concert of theirs if they do that again. Round up your hits, and play
them, add in a few new songs, like all other bands. Don't bore people to death by
playing an entire album. Not every song is worth a concert performance!!!
JAY from Dallas, Texas
CHICAGO CONCERT IN DALLAS BOMBED
Chicago should have read the previous reviews of their concert. First hour should be rated a
zero . All they played was their new album. No one applauded, many including myself was
reading my phone, guy in front of me fell asleep and others just conversing during the set.
Many people left after the first hour, although the second half was much better. I've seen
Cihicago several times since the early 70s and this will definitely be my last Chcago concert.
As for REO , they were great. Played all the hits, audience on there feet the entire time. If
there was a 10 rating they should have got it.
Dan T from Denver, Colorado
REO GOOD. CHICAGO BAD.
As other have posted REO put on a great
show. Sadly Chicago played their Chicago II
album for the first half of their set and
bombed. The last 45 minutes they finally
played some of their hits. I’m glad I found
previous reviews before arriving so we sat in
the club bar and watched baseball until the
second half of their show.
Chicago change your set list. Give fans what
they come for.
Jim from Denver, Colorado
REO SPEEDWAGON AND CHICAGO CONCERT
REO gave the fans what they came for: their hits. Somehow Chicago missed this memo;
the first hour of their show was terrible, and fans were shouting, "Play something we
know!" Both bands played with good energy and sounded good. Suggestion for Chicago:
it's not too late to change your set list.

THE NIGHT CHICAGO DIED? HOPE THEY HAVEN'T JUMPED THE SHARK!
Saw 2018 REO/Chicago concert at Allstate Arena, IL. Been a Chicago fan since 1969 and see them every summer. On this night, my fandom was seriously injured. REO brought it, albeit a deafening volume at times. Crowd was standing and loud after REO set. Chicago's two sets had no positive flow, newer members didn't click artistically, show was boring and disjointed. Big screen graphics and historical references badly overpowering. We sat main floor back, next to the sound mixers. The sound/acoustics were bad, some ear-splitting reverb and even the sound techs shook their heads. We saw droves of people leave early and I was shocked. Some were likely REO fans but never have I seen that before. At the end the remaining fans had no enthusiasm, no noise, no nothing, just numb! No interest in an encore and total disbelief! We really hope it's not the end of an era. Please Chicago re-think your sets/performance/artistry/video graphics/sound and get back to being the best band in the land.
Kelly from Cincinnati, Ohio
REO AWESOME, CHICAGO TERRIBLE!
REO was awesome, played their hits and got the
crowd going, would definitely see them again.
Chicago was terrible, the crowd was bored, just sitting
there staring, many people left. Why not play the
songs people came to hear? As the people that stuck
it out to the end were leaving, all we heard was
comments on REO was great, Chicago sucked.
Heather from Toronto, Ontario
CHICAGO SUCKED
So disappointing with the Chicago concert. People go to see a concert to hear the band's favourites, not unknown songs. They have so many great hits but I left before they were played, if at all. Don't waste your money.

REO was a little loud but overall GREAT !! Chicago on
the other hand.... complete rip off... had I known they

greatest hits... most people gone by then... plus the
visuals were not that good

REO GREAT! THIS NIGHT CHICAGO DIED
REO Speedwagon was amazing and got me excited about what was to come next.
Then when Chicago played, absolutely terrible is being to kind! I waited for few
months to see them since I got my tickets. I couldn’t be more disappointed with
what they delivered to a paying audience. I’ve seen many concerts and never saw so
many people leaving a show so early into the performance. The audience was sitting
there with blank expressions on their faces, pretty much stunned, hopping that the
next song would be the first of the hits that they all showed up to hear. Sad to say
but it really never happened. As soon as Chicago played a hit they went back to
leaving the paying patrons in a blank stare once again. You would think that when
the Chicago band themselves saw that people were leaving and the rest were just
sitting in a daze that they would’ve regrouped and started playing the music that
everyone came to hear. It’s a shame we can’t get a refund. Chicago you should be
embarrassed! So bad!

people were leaving and the rest were just sitting in a daze of shock that they
would’ve regrouped and started playing the music that everyone came to hear. It’s a
shame we can’t get a refund for the price of a ticket that was so very badly not worth
the time or money. Out of the $200 dollars that I spent for me and my wife to go to
the show we got about $33.33 worth of entertainment for each ticket and that came
from REO Speedwagon. Chicago you should be as disappointed in the performance
that you gave as most of the people that paid to see that crap that you delivered to
them. Chicago you should be embarrassed!

REO SPEEDWAGON CHICAGO CONCERT
This was the worst concert I have ever been to.
After being so excited to get tickets to
celebrate a birthday to this concert thinking we
would here all the hits that these awesome
bands have had through the years. REO did
play some great songs and we loved it. Chicago
sucked and played obscure songs from records
no one knew. It was a travesty when they have
so many great songs. The crowd looked on
puzzled and asking one another what in the
world is going on. Then have the place just
cleared out and left once it was clear they were
going to continue to play crap no one knew.
Terrible waste of money... a huge
disappointment. I love concerts and this one
was terrible.

REO / CHICAGO
REO was Great. Chicago embarrassed the City
and the Band. I have been to a lot of concerts
and this was a gift from my Girl as I had never
seen Chicago, can’t believe how fast we left
after they started. Normally I would say they
should give us back our Money but I actually
prefer Chicago keep it and see if they can buy a
clue!!!

REO CHICAGO
REO was great... played their hits! Chicago... what the
hell was that? Terrible and a waste of money! We left
after over an hour of torture. I’ve never been to a
concert where everyone sat down, that should have
told you something. Worst concert I’ve ever been to.
The only reaction from the crowd was when they
sang You’re the inspiration. Which we heard on our
way out and wasn’t enough to keep us from leaving..
Hubby and I enjoyed the entertainment of peoples
reaction during the concert and those that were on
their phones and lying down... including my hubby!

TERRIBLE
Reo was great. Chicago sucked.

REO
Disappointing show. REO should of played
longer. Chicago needed to stick to their good
songs.

DALLAS DITTO
Indy, had I read your reviews before the Chicago/REO concert in Dallas i most probably still
would have bought tickets. But after absolutely enjoying a great REO opening concert last
night I feel much better about walking out of of Chicago after the first hour of songs
which few people would recognize. It was a great brass playlist but the band didn't play to
their audience in Dallas any more than they did for you.
Crystal from Chicago, Illinois
AWFUL!
Posted Reviews are spot in. REO was good.
Chicago tanked. The worst concert I have ever
been too. Agree when your audience is so
quiet and sitting the entire show and leaving,
you have a problem.

REO/ CHICAGO IN ST LOUIS
I was looking very forward to this concert!
I've seen Reo multiple times and felt Chicago
was going to be just as exciting and great as
Reo! Oh lord was I wrong! Of course REO
doesnt sound as well as they did, but they
still out on a great show and they do PLAY
THEIR BIG HITS! Unfortunately, Chicago
failed in their 2 hour show! It was the longest
2 hours ever! I should have followed the
others as they left 45 minutes in! They didnt
play any of their hits. They played 2 songs
that I even knew! When your playing for your
fans, play your greatest hits! That's why your
fans are there!!!!! To anyone thinking of
going. Do yourself a favor and leave after
REO! Lifes to short to sit and listen to that
mess for 2 hours!!

REO WAS GREAT, CHICAGO EXCRUCIATINGLY BAD SHOW
I can't believe we paid full price for this concert. When the lead singer/keyboardist is trying to explain the reason the audience is sitting on their hands and not applauding, something is wrong. WTF Chicago? By the time you pulled the nose up on this dive bombing concert the Pepsi Center was half empty. Unfortunately for REO Speedwagon few will remember what a great show they put on, all people will remember is the first hour of Chicago's set was so bad.

REO AND CHICAGO DENVER
REO rocked the house down in Denver! They
sounded better than ever! Chicago however was
terrible Very disappointed. Nobody cares about the
Chicago 2 album but the band. The sound techs for
this venue should be fired immediately. It sounded
terrible. Even the songs we all love couldn't be
enjoyed because the sound was physically painful.
Enjoy REO and then go home. Chicago is doing
nothing but promoting their #2 album to get into hall
of fame. Very disappointing!

WASTED TIME
REO Speedwagon was amazing as always.
Then Chicago played...absolutely terrible! The
audience was falling asleep or leaving in
droves. I wish I would’ve followed and left, but I
stayed, thinking “surely they’ll play one of their
hits”. I heard a total of 2-3 songs that I knew. In
the end, I left thinking that it was a complete
waste of my night. The only benefit was that
the parking lot was already half empty making
it easier to get the heck out of there. On the
way out, everyone was discussing how
disappointed they were with Chicago. I feel
badly that REO is stuck on this tour with them.
Don’t waste your time, I never will see Chicago
again!! I see a lot of concerts and have yet to
be disappointed. This one changed that for
me.

DISAPPOINTING CHICAGO SHOW
REO was great, played the songs we all wanted to hear. Chicago -- on the other hand --
decided to play album #2 with very few crowd favorites. People started leaving after 20
mins, we left at intermission. Very disappointing, was so looking forward to dancing to
my old fav's.
Craig from Denver, Colorado
CHICAGO SHOULD HAVE OPENED.
REO opened and rocked. Sound wasn’t great.
Chicago closed and it seemed that everyone
had given everything to REO. Chicago is very
talented. I think it would have been better if
Chicago had opened.

MIXED REVIEW
Short of it. REO Speedwagon was incredible.
They're not what they use to be, but, wow,
Great show. Chicago...blew chunks! And I
love Chicago. Super disappointed with that.
We left after an excruciating 70 min.
Dmur from orange county , ca.
CHICAGO/REO
previous reiew spot on. reo was and is still rockin although their sound was a bit
screechy and loud. the forum has some of the best accoustics around so i didnt
understand that. Chicago was brutal, terrible show and i was one who left an hour into
their set . zzzzzzzz ticketmaster ended up selling seats for half price, so someone knew
something, just wish they had given me a heads up. lol

WHAT IS CHICAGO THINKING
Playing the Chicago 2 album in entirety is a
mistake. Everyone at the concert is here for
the hits. If no one stands up for the first
hour of a concert it is a dud. After several
songs there were minimal applause between
songs and People started exiting after 1
hour in. This album has no major hits and
does not hold up in 2018 (unless you are
really drunk or Alice from the Brady Bunch).
Reo speedwagon put on a good show.
