Colorado Symphony - Bernstein and Mahler

Colorado Symphony - Bernstein and Mahler at Boettcher Concert Hall

Why see Colorado Symphony - Bernstein and Mahler?

Two titans

The genius of Leonard Bernstein is on display with this wonderful program that pays tribute to the centenary of his birth. In addition to his work on beloved musicals including West Side Story and On The Town, his work in the concert hall yielded gems such as the ones highlighted in this program.

In addition to the globe-hopping exploits of Candide (as based on Voltaire's novella) and the philosophy inspired Serenade, the evening will also include a presentation of Mahler's monumental and ceaselessly energetic Symphony No.1 In D Major, or Titan, a known influence on Bernstein throughout his glittering career.
