Celebrate A Legend

Colorado Symphony Orchestra celebrates the work of comedy legend come, writer, director, and producer Mel Brooks! Few people have shaped the American comedy landscape more than Mel. Beginning his career as a stand-up comic, he went onto direct some of the biggest hits of the 1960s & 70s, including Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and The Producers, which he subsequently turned into a 12-time Tony-winning Broadway musical.

Conducted by Taylor Martin and featuring the vocal talents of Devin DeSantis and Allison Sill, the orchestra will also be joined by the Colorado Symphony Chorus under the direction of Mary Louise Burke. With musical selections from across Mel Brooks' storied career, it's a fitting tribute to a true icon.
