F. Scott Fitzgerald's great Jazz Age novel The Great Gatsby bursts into vivid life during Colorado Ballet's sumptuous new ballet adaptation, finally making its company premiere in the 2025/26 season. Featuring choreography by Jorden Morris and an original score by celebrated American composer/conductor Carl Davis, the dazzling 20s era production whisks audiences away to a golden era of flapper dresses, swinging parties, and gilded privilege.
The Great Gatsby follows the fortunes of writer Nick Carraway, whose life is changed forever when he goes to stay with his cousin,n Daisy Buchanan, in the exclusive West Egg neighborhood. The locals are up in arms about fabulously rich new resident Jay Gatsby, who appears to have it all. But are things exactly as they seem, or is this strange gentleman hiding a darker side?
