The Who's Tommy

The Who's Tommy at Stage Theater

Why see The Who's Tommy?

The Who's Iconic Rock And Roll Musical

At the end of the Summer of Love in 1969 rock and roll legends The Who released a concept album that shook critics and fans to their core, confusing them and exciting them in equal measure. In 1993, the iconic rock opera was immortalised on the stage in the form of the multi-award winning Tommy: The Musical, a voyage of one boy's self discovery replete with the soul-stirring stadium rock of The Who. This spring, don't miss this exciting new revival starring Broadway and star of NBC's Smash Andy Mientus, alongside Charl Brown, Carson Elrod, Betsy Morgan and Lulu Fall.

After witnessing a traumatic event, young Tommy goes into shock and becomes temporarily deaf, dumb and blind. The hopeless teen stumbles into an arcade one day and finds he has a prodigious talent as a pin-ball machine whizz. Fame and fortune come knocking, turning the hero's already mixed up life upside down. Later on in his life, it is claimed that his pinball wizardry is a sign of divinity and a cult forms around the unlikely leader.
