The Colorado Symphony and its music director Brett Mitchell present a thrilling program comprised of movement-infused ballets and Rachmaninoff's astonishingly technical Third Piano Concerto. The evening kicks off with Aaron Copland's 1938 ballet suite Billy the Kid, an Americana folk-infused piece propelled by cowboy tunes. Dancers then take to the Boettcher Concert Hall to perform alongside the ensemble during a rousing performance of Leonard Bernstein's Facsimile, a ballet inspired by a tumultuous love triangle.
