Both put on great shows but the sound from Journey was very bad.

5 STARS FOR CHP TRK AND D LEP, , WHAT HAPPENED TO JOURNEY?
I had a blast at Fenway Way park 2018 Aug. 10,11,12. Seeing all performers on the
three nights
Peter Wolf, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard and Journey.
I was most excited about seeing Journey for the second time since seeing them in
Aug 2017 in Laconia NH. I always enjoyed their music and could not believe how
good they sounded in the smaller NH amphitheater. Arnel Pineda was amazing as
was all bandmates. The sound mix was perfect and sounded like the recordings.
Fenway Park has a perfect speaker / sound system and every show is right on with
the quality of instrument mixing and crystal clear sound. I had a good seat about
twenty rows off the field opposite the stage.
Cheap Trick and Def Leppard were amazing, then Journey started their set. I was in
total shock of the total distortion coming out of all the speakers. The Bass guitar
and Bass Drums completely dominated the speakers and sounded like booming
thunder against the ears. Guitars, Keyboard and Vocal

DEF LEPPARD MADE THE SHOW
Def Leppard = amazing experience! Feels like you are back in the 80's. It's cool to experience a band that is still together and sounding the same as they did from my old vinyl albums. Love them!
Journey, the music drowned out the singer. They did not have the same nostalgia that Def Leppard had. I miss Steve Perry!! The new guy, he's good, but it felt like watching a cover band.

DEF LEPPARD HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!
We just had the pleasure of seeing the Def Leppard/Journey concert on July 19th in Lincoln, NE. I'll tell you what....Def Leppard has to be, hands down, the BEST concert I've ever been to!! They sounded like they did 30+ years ago, and the entertainment value was PRICELESS!! However, Journey was the BIGGEST disappointment EVER
:( I grew up listening to Journey and l am still a HUGE fan of Journey's music w/Steve Perry. We felt that this concert was "the Neal Schon show", not the Journey that we had grown up loving. Nothing at all against Arnel Pineda, but he is very karaoke like! I'm so sad that I left there feeling like I wasted my time sitting through the rest of the show.

DEF LEPPARD FANTASTIC
Def Leppard gets 5 stars! Simply amazing!
Journey not so much. Too many solos and a
few mediocre songs. Fans want to hear the
hits! Play them! I love Journey and I know
they’re all great musicians BUT they’re losing
fans if they don’t change the setlist. They did
not sound as crisp as Def Leppard.
Disappointing indeed.

JOURNEY. DL
DL was amazing tonight at the Forum but we went to see Journey who SUCKED! We saw
them in Chula Vista a few years ago and they were amazing! Tonight in L.A. it was so bad
people left really early. The sound was distorted for Journey but not DL.. Neal and his
attempt to overshadow Arnel was pathetic, childish, narcissistic. Good for you Arnel to
leave the stage during all those long boring distorted guitar solo rifts of Neal’s. We left
too. Be proud of your solo album, Arnel. You rock!

JOURNEY AND DEF LEPARD
Journey is my all time favorite and I have been to four
of their concerts in the past six years. Every time I’ve
gone it has been a real treat. This past Saturday at the
Gorge in Washington was just a mess. The sound was
terrible. Arnel was off key and could not be heard
over the high bass and windy noise of the guitars. The
long solos were too much - way too long. There were
not enough of the classic songs. They weren’t very
personable to the audience. It was embarrassing and
sad to see so many people leave early. Def Lepard on
the other hand was a big surprise to me. I didn’t think
I’d like their show as much as I did. Their sound
system was great and they were engaging. The
audience was very much into their performance. It
was a lot of money for only half a concert.
