Love both bands, DL was quite good and clear. Journey has the talent
but overall the music was muddy and overpowered voice. Journey
really needs sound help!! With going though

DL ROCKED AND WAS AMAZING JOURNEY HORRIBLE
Def Leppard should have headlines their songs sounded great.. great drumming and
guitar work and Joe Ellliot could still belt it out..The production was amazing and the
fans were totally into it..
Journey my old SF band I grew up there. was a major major disappointment.. We left
after 2 songs.. ARnel is not as good as Steve Perry ..Neal Schon over shadowed
everyone and his guitar work was average.. The rest of the band just so-so..No
comparison to Def leppard ..Jorney was about 50% as good.
We are looking forward to the next DL tour hopefully not with Journey
By the way foreigner played 6 songs and sound pretty good.. They had a very high
energy lead singer now,,who for the most part sounded pretty good..Not as good as
the original Lead singer though.

DEF LEP=HIGH ENERGY, FUN SET. JOURNEY=BAD SOUND, SCRIPTED
Like most reviewers here I was excited to see both bands when they came to Dallas
to play at the American Airlines arena (indoors). Def Leppard came out excited, high
energy and maintained that throughout. VERY appreciative of the fans,
complimented each other within the band (amazing to watch the one-armed
drummer) and clearly were having fun playing for the sold out crowd.
Journey was a distortion nightmare. I love their music and I like the new lead singer
well enough, but it was awful. Neil's guitar droned out everything else and was so
distorted and over-amped that you couldn't make out the notes. Really bad. I
NEVER leave a show early and we bailed after 40 minutes of their walking around
the stage playing unintelligible songs. You'd think they might get this fixed over the
course of a 60-stop tour. Sad.

WENT TO SEE JOURNEY, DL WAS BETTER.
Journey is a vocal driven AOR band but I found the guitars over-powering, the sound mix
was simply off. Many have said the same thing so not sure why the band hasn't
tweaked things. It's not the venue because Def Leppard sounded crisper, cleaner.
Seemed like Arnel was trying to sing thru the distortion.
DL sounded like the records. Journey not so much. Someone needs to turn down the
volume on Neal Schon's guitar.
ATT park is good enough acoustically, I saw AC/DC there and they sounded awesome.

JOURNEY/DEF LEPPARD
I recently went to the concert in New Orleans
and i was disappointed with the way journey
performed. It was a one man show, literally. I
see why Steve Perry left the band. Neil Shawn
stole the show with his continuous solo acts in
between every. Single. Song! Overall I like
journeys attempt to still stay together, but Def
Leppard was a 10 star act! Seriously, amazing!
They performed as a band and kept the crowd
so energized the entire time! If only they would
have ended the show I might not have been as
disappointed.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY JOURNEY?
Def Leppard was spot-on...the music...the mix...and crowd engagement! Journey
struggled...start to finish. Just when we thought the guitar solos would never end...they
never did! Felt like filler. Too many unfamiliar songs. Journey fans are there to hear the
HITS they love and grew up with. Sadly, Arnel's vocals were terribly flat. He seemed
exhausted and disconnected from the audience.

DEF LEPPARD HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. JOURNEY DISAPPOINTING
I admit that I'm a huge Def Leppard fan and
have seen them 3 times in the past. All were
fantastic shows but this one was even
better. Sound, lighting, band energy, and
crowd focused presentation were amazing!
Our whole group (10 of us) loved them. I am
also a big Journey fan and had never seen
them before. I was really looking forward to
what they were going to be like. Wow, they
were boring! Neil Schon needs to get over
himself. He can play the guitar but do we
really need an out of place fast guitar riff in
Faithfully? The sound was a mess. My wife
commented about not being able to hear
the vocals, which I couldn't hardly hear
either. The singer tries, and jumps around
like he's 1/2 the age of everybody else, but
Neil just won't let him have any attention.
Steve Smith gave an incredible drum solo.
You, my man, have skills. The stage show
was flat and the lightly only acceptable. Def
Leppard destroyed it while Journey seemed
to be going through the motions.
