Saw then in Pittsburgh, June 2. Everyone has
already said it. Def Leppard sounded
AWESOME. Journey was just awful. A 3 minute
guitar solo crammed into every song and just
terrible, overblown sound. Schon & sound
engineer both need to go. Going in I was
more excited for Lep, my wife for Journey.
She sang along with all the Def Leppard sins
then, 90 seconds into Journey's second song
she said "This sounds terrible. We can leave
whenever you want." We struggled through
and stayed until the end. After the show, she
said (and remember she was very excited to
see Journey) "I'd pay to see Def Leppard
again. I may never LISTEN to Journey again."
For me, that (sadly) summed it up. Def
Leppard was AMAZING, 5 Stars. Journey
SUCKED. 1 Star (5+1)/2=3 Stars

SURPRISED
Last night my husband and I went to Louisville's Yum Center to see Def Leppard and Journey. We aren't huge Def Leppard fans and were mainly interested in seeing Journey, but things can change "on a dime" (or on a couple hundred dollars)! Def Leppard was AMAZING!!! We loved their energy, lightshow, vocals, EVERYTHING!!!! We were pleasantly surprised! Then came Journey. I cannot say how disappointed we were. Their sound crew needs to be fired, because the acoustics/instruments were so loud, you couldn't hear OR enjoy the vocals. It almost seemed like they were trying to be a hard rock band like DL. Journey needs to remember that their vocals and lyrics are great and can stand alone without the volume turned to the max. I gave my review 5 stars, but only because of Def Leppard and their performance. Staying in Louisville and going downtown for events is always enjoyable.

ISSUES WITH SOUND FOR JOURNEY!
Journey were not at their best. Issues with
sound. Too many guitar solos. Not enough hits
performed. Something was definately wrong.
Not sure what. Disappointed as I’ve seen them
before and they were great.
DEF LEPPARD were AMAZING!! They sang every
hit song. Definitely blew the doors off the
performance of Journey. The whole statium
erupted. Maybe if the Dome was open it would
have been even better!

GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE SOUND...
Not sure if we blame a closed roof Rogers
Centre for the distorted sound (specifically
vocals) but it was a real problem for enjoyimg
what should have been a great show.
Nevertheless Def Lepperd were great as
usual and Journey a close second in song
choice and energy includong one of the best
guitar versions of Oh Canada!

DEF LEPPERD AND JOURNEY
Not gonna lie. I miss steve Perry. And andre
peneia did a good job. I just miss steve Perry.
Andre sounds a lot like him so my journey fix
was covered. Def lepperd though, amazing.
Some of Joe elliots vocals were a little off but
pipes still work pretty well for an old man!
Overall they were amazing. I was reminded
how much I love deff lepperd.

BAD SOUND MARRED CONCERT
Peter Frampton started the set well. I really liked his rendition of Black Hole Sun.
Journey's sound was dreadful -ALL drums with WAY too much reverb. This sound
engineer needs to go. Def Leopard delivered.

JOURNEY/DEF LEPPARD 6/16/18
I loved it all. Grew up with Journey and Def Leppard but this was my first time seeing them live. Brought my 10 year old daughter for her first concert. I loved both bands, didn't care much for either the piano or the guitar solo's from Journey but that aside, I loved it. Def Leppard had an awesome show, played all the hits I love and sounded great, light show was spectacular! My 10 yr old will never forget it. Thanks to both bands!
